It’s June but I’m not sure Mother Nature got the memo

It’s June but the last two days have been in the low 60s and upper 50s, Wisconsin weather gotta love it!  The cool air, rain drizzle, and fog over the lake puts me in a fall frame of mind.  I start thinking about warm chunky cable knit sweaters, leggings, boots, hot drinks, a good book, and a relaxing place to sit.

Comfy rain clothes

Sweater, Leggings, Boots, Bag

This outfit looks so comfy but I hope I don’t need to bother with heavy clothing for a couple of months.  Summer where are you??

Outfit – Spring in the North

Spring in Wisconsin, it means you have to be ready for heat, cold, rain, floods, and snow storms.  And no, I’m not joking about the snow storm part, it’s happened before.  I think I carry more extra clothes around in Spring than any other season.  I can go to Lake Michigan in the morning wearing a jacket and pants, then drive out to my in-laws in Muskego and have to change into a skirt and a tank top.  It’s just all around crazy weather.  But it can be a little fun when you get to experience 4 season in one week 🙂

This outfit would be for a normal weekend day (I work all week and have no time to go anywhere. I live for the weekends)maybe start out at home on my balcony listening to the birds and the trains or at a coffee shop watching people be anti-social taping away on their computers.  Then downtown for some grocery shopping and a walk.  And who knows maybe I’ll end my evening at my mom’s, my dad’s or my in-law’s for a bonfire.

Two outfits, sometimes the second outfit is in the car and sometimes I go home in between to change.

Outfit of the Week – Versatile Outfit for my Sister-in-law

For this weeks outfit I wanted to create something for my sister-in-law.  I was trying to figure out an outfit with the colors she likes and pieces that can be fashioned with clothing she already has.  Plus, I wanted find some pieces that she could wear together as an outfit for when my brother comes home from deployment.

So here are the clothing pieces I came up with.  I might have gone a little over board with the jewelry/accessories but you can never go wrong with having plenty of options for icing on your outfit!

Outfit of the Week – An Evening Ball

After watching the Oscars I thought ‘What would I wear if I was at the Oscars?’ There were a number of lovely dresses on the red carpet and some not so great ones. I personally feel that if the blush tone of your dress almost matches your skin, it’s the wrong color to go with. Wear something bold or unique. With that being said I think that Charlize Theron’s dress and jewelry was amazing

Here is what I would wear, on a budget sort of.

Outfit – Night out after the Beach

Ah, the though of warm weather, it sounds so good.  But that it about 6 months away around here.  So for now I can day-dream about dinners outside and feeling the warm breeze against my face.

The outfit below, I picture wearing after a day of relaxing on the beach.  Heading out to a fancy dinner with my husband.  Or, if its your cup of tea, off to a night club and drinks.
